Located in the grounds of the Niagara Falls State Park, Old Fort Niagara was originally constructed by the French in 1726 and has also been controlled by the British. The site has been restored and includes the oldest building in the Great Lakes region. Visitors can explore the various buildings and view the historical displays and musket demonstrations. Live history events and reconstructions of certain battle also take place here. The view of Lake Ontario from here is particularly impressive
Situated at the Niagara Falls State Park, this attraction is an interpretive center that explores the natural and local history of the grand Niagara Falls and the gorge. A 180-degree movie screen is on-site and shows a documentary of the area. The center also offers guided hikes in the summer.
